Bvlgari was first created in 1884 by Greek founder, Sotirio Bulgari. Bvlgari produces and specializes in jewelry, from watches, to jewels, to other accessories. It derived much of its style from Greek and Roman art, cultures he embraced and was familiar to. The first shop was opened in via Sistina, Rome, but was later relocated to via Condotti, and still exists today. Later, Sotirio’s two sons, Costantino and Giorgio, took over the business and began managing it. In the 1940’s, the snake watch was introduced, making this particular style a very unique and well-liked one for watches. The Tubogas was created, with an elastic gold bracelet. With the 1950’s and 60’s, came the aftermath of WWII. Bvlgari established a unique, new style that strayed away from its old, conventional one, which was based on strict French rules. With the 70’s came an immense expansion of Bvlgari. Stores were initially opened in New York, then Paris, Geneva, and Monte Carlo. The following decade brought upon the infamous Bvlgari Bvlgari watch, as well as the Bulgari Time Neuchtel, where the watches were produced. Bvlgari Time, located in Neuchtel, Switzerland, is highly esteemed for assembling and producing its watches independently. Among its collections include the Bvlgari Bvlgari, the Rettangolo, the Solotempo, the Assioma, the Ergon, the Diagono, the Diagono Professional, the B. ZeroI, the Ipno, the Astrale, and the Lucea. Bvlgari, known for its elegant styles, its beautiful artistic models, has become an international success, and continues to renovate itself, creating and recreating artistic and precise masterpieces.
